Riverside Volunteer Mark Noller Honored as an Outstanding Volunteer of the Year

Mark Noller was one of six recognized as 2018 Outstanding Volunteers of Kankakee County

KANKAKEE, IL (April 20, 2018) - Riverside Healthcare Volunteer Mark Noller was honored as an Outstanding Volunteer of the Year in Healthcare by the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley at the 30th Annual Kankakee County Volunteer Recognition Luncheon on Friday, April 20 at the Kankakee Country Club.

Mark has accumulated over 3,500 hours of volunteer service playing the piano at Riverside Medical Center, Riverside’s Miller Rehabilitation Center, Independent Living Kankakee, Assisted Living Kankakee, Memory Care Kankakee, Assisted Living Bourbonnais, and Memory Care Bourbonnais.

Mark joined the Riverside volunteer team in 2013, offering his musical talents to enhance visitor experiences and accelerate patients’ recovery with music as therapy. Not only has he helped to ease the stress sometimes associated with visiting a medical facility, but he’s helped to transform the experience at Riverside facilities into a hotel lobby-like feel that meets everyone with wonderful music and friendly smile.

Riverside patients and visitors are not the only beneficiaries of Mark’s wonderful talents. Our over 3,000 Riverside employees are often welcomed to work with live music, helping to decrease stress levels and increase the quality of their work environment.

Mark also assists in playing for fundraising events and holiday performances. His talents and seemingly tireless contributions are an integral part of the fabric that makes up Riverside's team.

Riverside Healthcare congratulates Mark Noller on this outstanding recognition and thanks him for sharing the healing power of music with the community.
