Riverside Healthcare Adding Pediatric Therapy

New Program to Include Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapies

KANKAKEE, IL (August 31, 2018) - Riverside Healthcare continues to expand services to benefit the community and the new pediatric therapy program is one of those. Beginning on September 17, Riverside Healthcare Rehabilitation Services, located at 350 N. Wall Street on the 5th Floor, will now offer full-service pediatric therapy, which includes occupational, physical and speech therapies for children ages 0 to 21.

"This new therapy program will not only benefit our youngest patients but their families as well," says Rebecca Schiltz, Director of Rehabilitation Services. "We use a family-centered approach while working with health care providers to ensure we are making the most of a child's abilities."

Riverside's licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech and language pathologists have a passion for pediatric therapy. Each therapist is trained to strengthen and improve each individual condition to their highest ability.

Through this program, Riverside can specialize in the treatment of many diagnoses and conditions including attention deficit disorder, cerebral palsy, juvenile rheumatology, muscular dystrophy, sensory processing disorder, speech and language delay and more.
